Tylers Green School

Working closely with Bucks county Council over the years, we were approached initially with a suspected dry rot outbreak to the library floor.

What transpired was actually a breakdown of the floor due to wet rot decay, what also developed was that were several differing floor levels and as such we altered our specification to provide the school with a with a safe and workable surface.

Work specification:

We removed the entire wooden floor, removed the contaminated wall plaster and installed a chemical damp proof course.

Due to the varying floor levels and space to the underside we recommended a new concrete slab and floor screed, we completed these works to this vast Library over a half term and in readiness for the children to return after the weekend.

Bower Dean Nursery School

We were asked to inspect the nursery main classroom, with the problem being that the exposed brickwork which had a painted surface was peeling away due to the higher external ground levels.

The external ground levels were approximately 450mm above the floor level and as such causing lateral penetration. We detailed a cavity membrane with a mesh membrane to allow a plasterboard fixing due to the limited space, this was beneficial to the school as the membrane is only 8mm in thickness.

The works were carried out promptly and prior to the children's return the following Monday.
